MEETING
The May Manhattan Borough Board Meeting, will be held on Thursday, May 16th, 2019, at 8:30 A.M., at 1 Centre Street, 19th Floor South, New York, NY 10007.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
The New York City Charter Revision Commission 2019, will hold a public hearing, at 6:00 P.M., on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the College of Staten Island, Center for the Arts Building, 1P Room 116, Williamson Theatre, 2800 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10314. The New York City Charter serves as the local constitution and provides the structure of City government. This public hearing is part of a series of hearings across the five boroughs, to provide an opportunity, for the public to respond to the Preliminary Staff Report, which is available on the Commissions website, at www.charter2019.nyc/report, and for the Commission to conduct any other business that may be necessary.
This hearing is open to the public and the public will have the opportunity to testify in person before the Commission about the Preliminary Staff Report and on any aspect of the Charter.
Written testimony is also encouraged and may be submitted in person at the public hearing, and through the Commission website, at www.charter2019.nyc/contact.
If you are not able to attend, but wish to watch the hearing, all public hearings and meetings will be live streamed, at the Commissions website found here: www.charter2019.nyc.
What if I need assistance to participate in the hearing?
This location is accessible to individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility devices. American Sign Language interpreters will be available. In addition, with advance notice, members of the public may request induction loop devices and language translation services.
